General Practice Dentistry

Chair's Message

Sophia C. Kladias, DMDThank you for your interest in continuing your education with a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Lehigh Valley Health Network.

The Department of Dental Medicine is home to two individual programs each with its own facility, program director, auxiliary/clerical staff, and attending dentists from the community.

As a past dental resident at this institution, I can attest firsthand to the quality of the training you will receive as a participant in either of these fine programs.

You will find many of the attending staff are past residents and quite a few are leaders in organized dentistry locally and at the state level. Their dedication is witnessed in the many hours they volunteer away from their private practices to supervise, teach and guide the residents.

We hope to instill in our residents an appreciation and commitment to life-long learning through our continuing dental education series featuring nationally known speakers.

I found the year spent as a dental resident a wonderful transition to private practice, enabling me to find my comfort zone in all of the specialties, increase my confidence and speed clinically, and broaden my knowledge and skill in providing care for medically compromised and special care patients.

We appreciate your interest in LVHN and hope you will inquire further into our programs.

Best wishes in your future endeavors.
